Water informationists should combine the important ideas of President Xi Xingshui on water control and network power to enhance the sense of urgency and responsibility of promoting water informationization and modernization in the new era. In order to realize the "six abilities" of water affairs as the core, the main direction of the construction of water affairs network communication in quasi-new era should be taken into consideration. Starting from solving the problems of digitalization, networking and intellectualization of water affairs informatization, we should further enrich data, integrate data, manage data well, display data, and enhance the automatic analysis and assistant decision-making of information system. Ability to enhance the overall level of wisdom of water industry. Here are some ideas about the wisdom of water affairs in the new era:
 
 
I. Better Life Needs Water Intelligence
 
The Nineteenth National Congress made a scientific judgment that "the main contradictions in our society have been transformed into the contradiction between the people's growing need for a better life and the unbalanced and inadequate development". As the most important basic resource, people put forward higher requirements for "water", especially in social management and service. People need simpler and more convenient ways to deal with the daily life of ordinary people, such as "checking water meters", "reporting faults" and "drainage problems". Intelligent water management is the best choice to meet these requirements.
 
2. Harmony between Man and Nature Needs Intelligence of Water Affairs
 
The ideological connotation of Chairman Xi's socialist thought with Chinese characteristics in the new era is mainly embodied in the basic content of "eight definitions" and the basic strategy of "fourteen perseverances". "Adhering to the harmonious coexistence of man and nature" is one of the important ones. Building ecological civilization is the millennium plan for the sustainable development of the Chinese nation. Water is the source of all life and the key to the harmonious coexistence of human and nature. Water resources are the lifeblood of national development and the necessary condition for human survival. 3. Beautiful China Needs Water Intelligence
 
If mountains and rivers are described as the backbone of beautiful China, then rivers are the vein of beautiful China. Economic development will inevitably bring about the impact on water ecology. River length system is an important means of water pollution control and water environment control. In 2016, with the consent of the leading comrades of the Central Committee, the State Council issued Opinions on the Comprehensive Implementation of River length system. With the promotion of Internet and big data, all kinds of information systems of the Internet plus river system have been applied throughout the country. Based on river lengths at all levels and in the form of Wechat Public Platform, the model of water ecological governance with the participation of the whole people and the supervision of the whole people has been realized for the first time. Therefore, we can say that water wisdom has made a creative attempt to turn into a beautiful China.
 
It is believed that on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China in 2021, water and information technology will be more deeply integrated, and "intelligent water" will drive water modernization more obviously.
